ABOUT US
Our family has deep roots on Sifnos. Lilia, born and raised in Athens, has been coming to the island since 1974. Her two grown-up children, raised between Berlin, Athens, and Sifnos, share her love for this special place.
Over the years, the connection to Sifnos grew deeper, and in 2013, Lilia decided to acquire a traditional farmstead and restore its two small stone cottages preserving their original architectural features and honoring traditional practices.

SIFNOS
Sifnos is a charming Cycladic island accessible only by boat, spanning approximately 74 km² with a population of around 2,500 (Municipality of Sifnos, 2020). Its iconic whitewashed houses, deep blue seas, and changing landscapes offer a captivating beauty.
While the land turns dry and golden in the summer, it transforms into a lush, vibrant green during winter and spring. The island’s mountainous terrain is shaped by kilometers of intricate stone walls, forming terraced landscapes.
Renowned for its crystal-clear waters, Sifnos is also celebrated for its long-standing craft tradition in ceramics and pottery. Instead of wide, white-sand beaches lined with sunbeds, the island offers smaller, picturesque coves, tavernas spilling onto the shoreline, flat rocky coastlines ideal for peaceful swims, and sandy beaches shaded by tamarisk trees. (That said, you’ll still find spots with sunbeds and umbrellas for added comfort!)
Sifnos strikes a balance between adventure and tranquility. Hundreds of footpaths crisscross the island, connecting its many churches, ancient towers, and secluded areas, inviting endless exploration.
To top it all off, the island is famous for its exquisite cuisine, ensuring that every meal—whether lunch or dinner—is a true delight.

LOCATION
Our charming house is nestled just outside the main village of Apollonia, across the hill from the village of Exampela, and near the Monastery of Vryssi. The location is ideal for access to the island's beautiful beaches whilst being in a tranquil, semi-rural area, away from the crowds.
A paved access road branching off the main road ensures peace and privacy, even during the bustling high season. Our property also includes our private house, but both homes are thoughtfully designed to provide privacy for guests.
The nearest bus stop is just a 5-minute walk downhill. However, for convenience, we recommend renting a scooter or car. Sifnos has several rental services, such as Apollo (www.automotoapollo.gr) and Proto Moto Car (www.protomotocar.gr).
